A New Chapter at Adagio Vineyards
After almost two decades of blending their passion for classical music and fine wine into every bottle, Tim and Jan Wahl are embarking on a well-deserved next chapter, traveling and spending more time with their grandchildren in Nashville. Their dedication and vision built Adagio Vineyards into the special place it is today.
The story of Adagio began in 2006, when Tim and Jan first stood on the untouched land nestled in North Carolina’s Yadkin Valley and imagined a vineyard that would reflect their passions. They cleared the land, carved roads through the hills, and planted the first cover crop. In 2009, the first grapevines took root, followed by additional plantings in 2012. With patience, determination, and an unwavering love for their craft, the Wahls built both the winery and tasting room just in time for the 2013 harvest, welcoming their first guests in May 2014.
Today, that vision has grown into a thriving 7 acres of vines producing five varietals: three reds, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Arandell and two whites, Chardonnay and Traminette.
Beau and Andrea Tiffany are honored to carry that legacy forward as the new owners of Adagio Vineyards. The Tiffanys step into ownership of Adagio Vineyards, drawn in by the beauty and spirit of what the Wahls created. Their transition into this role is more than a business move; it’s the realization of a lifelong dream. Since they were teenagers, Beau and Andrea dreamed of owning a business together, of building something meaningful side by side; that dream now comes to life in the rolling hills of Yadkin Valley.
Beau has over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, including NASCAR, managing repair shops, and manufacturing. Beau is returning to his roots. He grew up spending time with his grandfather fixing equipment, watching him make homemade wine, keeping bees, and working around the farm. Today, he continues the tradition of beekeeping with his two sons and is excited to begin his journey into the art of winemaking.
Andrea, with a background in corporate finance and a shared love for a thoughtfully crafted glass of wine, brings her strategic expertise and enthusiasm to Adagio’s next chapter. Together, Beau and Andrea are committed to honoring the legacy that the Wahls built, preserving the harmony of wine, music, and community, while exploring new opportunities for growth and connection.
Together, the Tiffanys look forward to welcoming longtime friends and new visitors alike to experience the next chapter of Adagio Vineyards, where the music plays on, and the wine keeps flowing.
